The driving licence is established over a capital of 12 points. The withdrawal of point (s) intervenes in case of infringements of the Highway Code (contravention or offence depending on the severity) or liability in an injury accident. At the conclusion of an offence, the police inform you of the principle of withdrawal point (s). The withdrawal of point (s) is effective: • paying the fixed fine; • the issue of enforcement of a fixed fine plus; • the final conviction or as soon as the reality of the offence is established; • the execution of an alternative to prosecution. The withdrawal of point (s) is served by a simple letter and remains confidential. It is communicated to either the employer or the insurer. When your principal points reached or passed

the milestone of 6 points, recommended in a letter to alert you and encourage you to follow a course of awareness to recover up to 4 points. Important: Only one offence can lose up to 6 points. Several violations reported at the same time can be lost 8 points at most.
